Andre is a proven leader with a wide range of experience in marketing and finance. Andre was one of the preeminent producers of special events and concerts in the north east United States. He also owned one of the region's largest night clubs and has worked with some of the largest millennial-facing brands and entertainers in the world. Andre moved on to lead the Media and Entertainment division at a boutique investment bank in NYC, and has also served as a Vice President of Investments at JP Morgan Chase. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Andre is the Chief Executive Officer of Tru Optik. He has led the company’s business development, product innovation and marketing efforts.
Alex is a mechanical engineer and mathematician with over ten years of experience developing complex network and software solutions. Alex founded his first successful startup, 21Productions, at the age of 17. By his 23rd birthday, he was licensing his software systems to some of the nation’s leading universities. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Alex serves as the Chief Technology Officer of Tru Optik. He has led most of the company’s innovation in data aggregation, cross category analytics and systems scaling.
Michael is an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of sales, business development and marketing experience in the television, digital advertising, programmatic advertising and sports marketing industries. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships for Cox Media Group’s Gamut. Prior to Gamut, Scott served as Managing Director, Ad Intelligence for Ebiquity, where he led the advertising consultancy practice with teams around the globe and doubled revenue within his first year. As an entrepreneur, Scott started and later sold, two successful content marketing businesses/agencies – Fourth Element Group and MacDuff Inc. Earlier in his career, Scott served as the Director of Olympic and Sports Marketing for NBC Television.
David has over 20 years experience in consulting, strategy development, and product management. Most recently, David built and led the E-Commerce Practice Area at Nielsen, where his team worked with many of world’s largest advertisers and retailers to help them develop winning e-commerce strategies. Prior to Nielsen, David headed the Business Insights function at Ocean Spray Cranberries. David is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College. In his role as Chief Strategist, David will be responsible for aligning Tru Optik's solution portfolio with marketplace needs by leveraging internal capabilities and identifying external assets that can enhance or complement Tru Optik's ability to help companies measure and monetize digital media.
David is a seasoned executive of venture-backed startups with 12 years leading finance, human resources, legal affairs and business operations at companies in both the US and Europe. He was most recently CFO and SVP Business Operations at MakeSpace. Previously, David was CFO at Fab.com (acquired by PCH International), KickApps (acquired by Piksel) and BuildOnline (acquired by Sword Group). David successfully led companies through a number of rounds of equity and debt funding, as well as both buy and sell side M&A activity. He started his career in strategic consulting with The Parthenon Group then moved on to Upfront Ventures (previously, Global Retail Partners).
Alex is the managing partner of GVCA. He is an experienced leader, investor and advisor in digital media, technology and marketing. He has guided several start ups to successful public offerings and acquisitions. As the Vice President of Product Marketing for AOL’s Audience business he lead product strategy across 60 different media and social oriented products; including the company’s commercialization of peer-to-peer technology for delivering high quality video and audio experiences. Following his time at AOL, Alex helped lead Jump TV - one of the world's first cloud based IPTV services through its IPO as its acting President and COO. As CEO of KickApps, an Enterprise Social Media SaaS provider, Alex helped incubate Admeld, an innovative ad-tech company, and served as a Board Member until its acquisition by Google for $400M.
Nick is the founder and a Senior Managing Director of Progress Partners and a founder of Progress Ventures. He is a proven corporate finance executive with 20 years experience working with early stage companies in business strategy and development. Progress Ventures has a proven track record of investing early in innovative digital media technology companies such as MediaMath, Pixability, Localytics and Integral Ad Science. Prior to founding Progress, Nick served in senior marketing and product development roles at Virtual Access Networks, MyWay.com (CMGi) and Scotia Pharmaceuticals.
Douglas is the Director, Investments at Connecticut Innovations. He is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities, evaluating and negotiating investments, and serving on the boards of portfolio companies. Before joining CI, Douglas gained extensive experience with early-stage businesses as both an advisor and operator. He founded a consulting firm to help early-stage companies identify and assess growth opportunities, generate sustainable revenue and manage intellectual property. Early in his career, Douglas spent more than a decade in the telecommunications industry, primarily focused on international voice, data and IP networks. Douglas has his M.S., Electrical Engineering from Boston University and his M.B.A.,from The Wharton School.
Eric is a business leader in digital, mobile and social marketing at the Fortune 500 and start-up level. Eric founded and built BrandinHand, one of the original and largest mobile marketing companies, selling the company in 2010. Eric created and monetized the largest Internet streaming event in history – NCAA March Madness on Demand. His efforts helped CSTV Online become a 240-site ad network and go on to be acquired by CBS Corporation. Eric was the Executive Director of Interactive at Ogilvy & Mather and currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer of Radium One Inc.
Jasme has over 18 years of marketing experience, spanning across digital strategy, marketing, research, measurement and analytics. She has been at the forefront of the evolving media landscape, spearheading integration and innovation in digital ROI and brand measurement. This has included building a proprietary iGRP tool, and pioneering the use of new tools to address the impact of engagement on sales and customer brand value, across digital and linear TV. Ms. Bantens has held several senior digital media positions at leading advertising firms like Digitas, Mindshare, and OMD across a variety of Fortune 500 companies, including CVSHealth, American Express, Kraft Foods, Bank of America, GE, and Delta Air Lines.
Marshall is a media industry pioneer. He was instrumental in the launch of numerous American cable networks including ESPN 2, ESPNews, TV Land, and The Food Network. He currently runs Marshall Cohen Associates, a consulting and marketing research firm, and is a member of the Pilot Group, a New York-based private equity firm. Most recently Marshall served as Executive Vice President, Corporate Research at Univision Communications. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Electronic Media Ratings Council, The Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), the Board of Governors of the National Academy of Cable Programming, the Board of Directors (as Chairman) of the Cable Television Administration and Marketing Society (CTAM).
Dave Gwozdz has more than 20 years in digital media technology and advertising. Gwozdz was most recently CEO of mobile advertising company, Mojiva, which through his leadership, grew to one of the largest mobile media companies and was eventually acquired by Pubmatic in 2014. Earlier in his career, Gwozdz started one of the first online ad networks which was acquired by, and was the genesis of the DoubleClick media network, where Gwozdz was one of the original employees. DoubleClick was later acquired by Google for $3 Billion. Gwozdz serves as a strategy advisor to several fast growing digital companies.
Kristi is an experienced leader and corporate executive. Ms. Matus served as Executive Vice President of Government Services at Aetna, Inc. Prior to Aetna, Ms. Matus held several senior leadership roles at USAA, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Currently she is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial & Administrative Officer at Athenahealth, Inc.
David is an experienced marketing executive known for leading dynamic, cross-functional teams and building global consumer passion brands. David most recently was Chief Marketing Officer for Combs Enterprises, the holding company of artist and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs. As the Chief Marketing Officer, David was responsible for the brand message and strategy of Revolt TV, Sean John, Bad Boy Music, and Ciroc Vodka. Prior to his role at Combs Enterprises, David was Vice President of Marketing for Diageo leading the Smirnoff Global Brand Team.
