Tru Optik Data Corporation is committed to respecting your privacy.
Certain identifying information is automatically collected when you visit the Website (www.truoptik.com) . We may collect identifying information that allows us to track the number of visitors we receive and the way they navigate through the Website. The types of identifying information collected include the date and time you accessed the Website, the page or pages you visited and images you accessed, other behavior and usage with respect to the Website, the web site you arrived to the Website from and the web site that you depart to as well as the IP address, operating system and browser type of the computer being used to access the Website.
We also collect personal data (“Personal Data”) that you provide to us, or that you may direct a third party to provide to us, such as your name, e-mail address, physical address, company name, title, telephone number, facsimile number, billing address and social media information. One way that you supply us your Personal Data is when you take an action such as register for an account or otherwise voluntarily supply your Personal Data to us. For example, if you send us an e-mail, or fill out an online account registration form, you are transmitting your Personal Data to us.
We collect additional data, including Personal Data, through our tracking of traffic that uses peer-to-peer networking protocols. This data may include IP addresses (which we consider Personal Data), peer-to-peer downloading, uploading and sharing activity, and other information that is shared over peer-to-peer networks.
We may use IP addresses and anonymous demographic information in the aggregate to share with advertisers and market researchers. We analyze this information and organize it into user groups and audiences, based on factors such as age, gender, geography, interests and online actions. We and our partners then use these user groups and audiences, along with information about the possible relationships among different browsers and devices, to design and deliver customized advertising campaigns or other relevant content.
We may share Personal Data with third parties that assist us in providing our services or products or otherwise responding to your requests or orders. Further, we may share Personal Data with third parties for market and industry research purposes, for advertising and marketing purposes, and potentially other reasons.
We may transfer any information in its databases, including but not limited to Personal Data, to an affiliate or third party as part of a transfer of business assets.
We may share information obtained by tracking peer-to-peer traffic with third parties, including publishers, advertisers and marketers. We may supplement this information with additional information about peer-to-peer networking users, including but not limited to, demographic information such as gender, estimated age, geographic location and behavioral metrics and summarized census information and other publicly available information such as estimated education level, homeownership status, and estimated occupation type.
Before sharing this information, at times the personal information will be directly associated with an identified individual. While it may be possible to correlate this information to particular individuals, we do not generally do so, though we reserve the right to do so. In particular, when sharing this data with software publishers, we will typically only provide the target market segment associated with an IP address and user identification number provided by the software publisher.
Our technology platform, the Tru Optik DMP, enables our clients to deliver more relevant advertising and content to consumers across digital channels, including desktop, mobile, and connected TV channels, by gathering data about your visits to, and use of, their digital properties. Tru Optik DMP is licensed to our customers (i.e., website publishers and marketers) for their own purposes. These customers have their own policies that govern how they collect, use, and share data, which may differ from Tru Optik’s own data collection, usage, and sharing policies. Please consult the privacy policies of the websites you visit and apps you use to become familiar with their privacy practices.
Tru Optik uses cookie syncing, the process of mapping user IDs from one system to another, to enable advertisers to use data on multiple advertising platforms. It also allows Tru Optik to assist our partners in relating our cookie-less audience segments back to site visitors for use in ad targeting.
You can opt out of interest-based advertising.
You can click below to opt out of having Tru Optik data used to select ads for your browser and/or non browser-enabled software clients based on your online web browsing behavior or peer-to-peer file sharing activity. When you opt out, an opt out cookie (from dmp.truoptik.com) will be stored in your web browser, and your IP address will also be stored by Tru Optik. Tru Optik will know the choice you have made when it sees your opt out cookie, or, with respect to non browser-enabled software clients, your IP address, and will apply your choice to all companies’ use of Tru Optik audience segments. If you block or delete the opt out cookie, Tru Optik will not see your choice.
The opt out cookie cannot be set if your browser is configured to block third-party cookies
If you delete your cookies, you will need to opt out again. There are browser plugins that may help you preserve your opt out cookies.
The opt out only applies to the browser in which you set it. For example, if you set the opt out while using Safari, but then use Chrome, the opt out will not be active in Chrome. To opt out in Chrome, you will need to repeat the opt out process.
For IP-based opt out with respect to non browser-enabled software clients, Tru Optik will not recognize your opt out in the event your IP address changes or you utilize that software client from a different location.
