The Data Wrangler will be an important part of the rapidly scaling infrastructure and data management demands at Tru Optik. We're seeking a data integration specialist who possesses a wide variety of technical skills. You love big data and have the creativity and flexibility to combine data from a multitude of sources. Distilling this data into actionable information is key to our success. Duties:
• Manage data compilation and integration operations and shard it over a complex infrastructure
• Store and organize data efficiently and allow fluid i/o workflows
• Manipulate data into several formats efficiently
• Apply and enforce best practices for extracting, transforming and integrating new data sources

Required Experience:
• BS in Computer Science or Engineering, with 3+ years industry experience preferred
• Expert knowledge of Ubuntu Linux and AWK
• Knowledge of Lua, Aerospike, Nginx
• Ability to script and code in Unix BASH and either PHP, Python or Node or other relevant languages
• Knowledge of file systems and storage management (ext4, xfs, zfs)
• Fully capable of moving data through transformations into models and human-readable form at scale

• Proactive “get it done” mentality, while following change control methods and processes
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, a creative and methodical thinker
